Mario Götze - the best young soccer player in Europe
Mario Götze is right now the star of the German champions Borussia Dortmund. He was officially awarded the "Golden boy" award for best young player in Europe, which is given to soccer players below the age of 21. Last year it was awarded to the Italian Mario Balotelli who is now a striker in Man City. The poll, which decided who will recive the award, was held by 30 journalists from the biggest sports media in Europe. It is organized by the Italian "Tuttosport".
Götze will be awarded "Golden boy" just before the game against Kaiserslauten this Sunday. So far in his career the German has played in 51 games of Borussia and has scored 11 goals in the Bundesliga, as well as 2 goals for the German national team.
