Based on the title do not think that I am disappointed or that I do not approve of what happened on the 26th in Istanbul. Vera Zvonareva clearly overpowered the defense of Caroline Wozniacki due to the powerful backstrokes she used against her. Of course Wozniacki did not just give up. She started to play more aggressively in the second set of the final game, however it was still not enough and Zvonareva with a 4-1 lead in the end. An interesting match no doubt and now Zvonareva has guarantied her victory in the championships in Istanbul due to Sharapova withdrawing because of a sprained ankle. A very unfortunate happening for Sharapova after having supposedly healed from the previous sprain in Tokyo, but a very lucky development for Zvonareva who practically won first place in the rankings for the second time in two straight years.
