Kuyt Destroyed United

Yesterday Liverpool earned an impressive victory 3-1 against Manchester United at Anfield. All of the three goals were scored by Dirk Kuyt. Luis Suarez also played very well and participated in all goal-scoring combinations; his feints and the following precise pass that enabled Kuyt to score the second goal were one of the most spectacular moments in the match. The derby will also be remembered as the debut of the 35 million pounds striker Andy Carroll for Liverpool, who appeared in the second half and participated in some nice attacks.
On the other hand, the Red Devils showed that total chaos dominates their playing style. The defense was totally inadequate, but the reason for this was probably the absence of the two most important defenders of United: Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic. The players that substituted them, Chris Smalling and Wes Brown, were made looking as an amateurs by the Liverpool strikers. The midfielders and the forwards of Man Utd proved also very uneffective and demonstrated full lack of ideas. Their goal was more caused by mistake in the Liverpool's defence rather than a good combination of Man Utd's players.

Man Utd should seriously fix their playing style if the want to win the title. On the other side, Liverpool showed a big improvement and a promising combinations between the players.
