Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard has given manager Kenny Dalglish a boost ahead of this weekend's clash at West Bromwich Albion by returning to training at Melwood.
The Reds' skipper underwent a successful groin operation two weeks ago but is now well on the road to recovery, much to the delight of his manager. "Steven is training so he has done really well to get where he is," said Dalglish. "Jonjo Shelvey is back training again but Fabio Aurelio and Martin Kelly have had setbacks with their recovery. "So I suppose we've had a fifty per cent success rate with injuries during this international break. "As for the players who have been away, everyone is back now and so far no injuries have been reported."
