Liverpool beat again Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and are Carling Cup semifinalists.

Liverpool reached the semi finals, when beating Chelsea again at Stamford Bridge with 2-0. Both teams met in a match for the Premier League and Liverpool won with 2-1. This time the managers started their formations with many young player, thus allowing them to play this season, and giving them opportunity to show up. The match started with a slight territorial advantage for Chelsea, but Liverpool had no problems in defense. I the 7th minute Enrique crossed to Carrol who fell to the ground, and there were hesitations about a penalty but the referee gave none. However, in the 21st minute in a similar case Liverpool received a penalty and Carrol was there to take it. He took a powerful shot but Turnbull saved it and eventually Chelsea were still in the game. In the last moments of the first half Lukaku made a powerful and decent shot, which made Reina helpless but the ball went wide, and the two teams went at the brake 0-0. The second half started and Chelsea were the slightly better team. in the 55th minute Lampard almost scored a goal from 27 meters, and hit the bar, after which Luiz tried with a header but his shot was deflected and went into corner. Chelsea were attacking, but that oppened much field for Liverpool counter attacks and in one of them in the 58th minute, Bellami was through and gave the ball to Maxi who just scored from 3 meters and took the Reds in front.
The shock was full for Chelsea when in the 63rd minute Bellami crossed from a free-kick and the defender Martin Kelly scored his first goal for Liverpool and made the result 2-0. Chelsea tried to push and in the 73rd minute Anelka had a good opportunity to score, but Reina and Carragher managed to stop the striker's two attempts for a goal. Till the end of the match Chelsea attacked but their attacks were unsuccessful and soon the final whistle blew, officially qualifying Liverpool for the semi finals at Carling Cup. Liverpool will face Manchester City, which defeated Arsenal at Emirates Stadium with 1-0. The other semi final will be between Cardiff City and Crystal Palace.

The team of Liverpool won the derby with Chelsea in the 12th round of the Premier League and again proved that played far better against teams in the top of the rankings than against those in the lower half of the table. The boys of Kenny Dalglish came to success with the goals from Maxi Rodriguez and Glen Johnson in 33th and 87th minute. Daniel Sturridge equalized for Chelsea early in the second half, as throughout the second part the team from London totally outplayed the opponent. However, they were shocked by the great breakthrough of the English national Johnson, who overcame Ashley Cole and sent a shot past Cech which brought the victory for his team. With this victory, Liverpool again came closer to the top 4, which ensures a place in the Champions League, which departed with the losses against Norwich and Swansea. Chelsea again disappointed in the derby against a rival at 'Stamford Bridge' - the stadium, which for years had turned into his fortress.

The match started in London at very fast tempo and in the 10th minute volley from Juan Mata was about to open the score, but his shot was blocked by a Liverpool defender. Just minutes later, guests also had the chance to score, but Branislav Ivanovic knocked the ball from the feet of Luis Suarez.

In the 21st minute Didier Drogba with a dangerous shot from a foul was about to score, but the ball went near the bar and entered the net from the backside.

In 33 minutes ,in which the defense of Chelsea made fatal mistake, and John Obi Mikel gave away the ball to Charlie Adam, and in the developing counter Maxi Rodriguez opened the score.

After that hit Chelsea rushed to seek equalizing, but the defense of the guests dealt with the enemy attacks. During the halftime Londoners manager Andre Villa-Boash replaced John-Obi Mikel and undertook much more offensive scheme to include Daniel Sturridge.

These changes brought a serious change in the game – Chelsea, which started lining up attack after attack in front of Pepe Reina. The defense of Liverpool seemed totally inadequate in these minutes that allowed the team from London to score. Florent Malouda, completely uncovered, made an unsuccessful attempt to shoot. However, the ball found Sturridge, for whom it was an easy shoot. The next minutes Chelsea’s missed another opportunity to score, seconds after the goal from Sturridge, Reina had to save a header from David. Malouda and Lampard were also without protection in convenient positions, but didn’t score.

So, completely in contrast with what was happening on the pitch, Liverpool scored the winning goal. Glen Johnson received the ball on the right wing, technically overcame Cole and entering the penalty area, shot for the final 1:2.

Manchester United record another 1-0 win over Swansea City.

England Champions Manchester United has won another match with 1-0 and maintained the distance of 5 points between their city rivals Manchester City. United were supposed to win in this match because earlier that day City won against unbeaten Newcastle with 3-1 at Newcastle. The match started with slight advantage for Swansea, but in the 11th minute defender's mistake lead to the United goal. Ryan Giggs passed the ball to Hernandez, who at close distance left no chance for Vorm, and united went in front. Swansea played in a organized way and in the 23rd minute they had golden opportunity to equalize. Graham and Routhledge passed the ball greatly, and then Graham found Sinclair who could not kick the ball, and missed to score. Swansea tried to equalize, but Vidic and Ferdinant were solid in defence and that is why, Swansea's attacks were held down till the half time. After the second half had begun Sinclair had huge chance to score, but De Gea denied it, so United were still in lead. In the 73rd minute Williams and Graham had a great chance but both their shots were blocked by Ferdinand, who became without doubt the man of the match for Manchester United. Dangerous counter attacks were almost brought second goal in Swansea's net. First Jones hit the post and after that Nani was close in scoring a goal. After that the final whistle blew and United won their match maintaining the distance between City as 5 points.

BEERBAUM's VICTORY IN STUTTGART

Ludger Beerbaum won a title for Germany yesterday 20th Nov 2011 in the fifth round of the Rolex FEI World Cup™ Jumping Western European League series on his home terrain at Stuttgart. Madeleine Winter-Schulze’s 10-year-old mare, Gotha, was becoming stronger and stronger in the hands of the five-time champion of the Olympics for a ceratin period of time, and made an excellent jump-off round to win maximum points for the 48 year-old rider who won this title 18 years ago.
It was not an easy afternoon for the world’s top competitors and riders, with only six of the 39 beginning in the competition could pass the hard round track with 13 fences set by the designer Christa Jung. The German course designer made it hard for them from the first fence to the last and this difficulty is proven by the eight retirements during the course“It was not too technical but it was quite big - Christa did a good job,” says Beerbaum after the round. “There were mistakes at all the fences, except, I think, the first - it was selective".

Nadal wins his fight over Fish on Monday

Rafael Nadal won in Group B his match against Mardy Fish with a surprising result of 6-2, 3-6 and lastly 7-6(3). This match was a show of skill from Nadal through his comeback after the seccond second set where he made some really bad mistakes which allowed Fish to take the initiative and win the set giving him a boost of confidence for the third set. However even with this boost Nadal still managed to beat him even though it was very close to a loss on his behalf. Now with Fish out of the way and Roger Federer's win against Tsonga, the two powerful tennis players are put against eachother in the next match of the group. The result of this clash will be a quite interesting match for everyone watching and even now the tickets for the matches on Tuesday have almost been sold out leaving the whole arena full with people waithing for the amazing gameplay that will occur on that day.

Milan to beat Barca?

Although both Milan and Barcelona are already certain teams for the finals, both the Catalonia and the Italians seem to be more than just motivated to win the next game. Barcelona are ok with a draw to keep the first place, and Milan, two points behind, need a victory to secure the first place. The Milano team is ready with some last-minute changes. The rumors say that Kevin Prince-Boachely will play now that his red card penalty is over. Robinho will probably stay on the substitutes' seats. Instead of him the talent, Pato is said to play. The other change, more of a strategic character - Zeedorf will now play right behind the strikers. And the last change concerns the Holland player van Bomel who is going to have his change against Europe's first. Barcelona have not commented the changes, but one thing is for sure - the two teams are going to present some high-class football!

Night of the Jumps

Night of the JUMPs is world largest Freestyle MX Series with more than 100 night of the JUMPs during the last 10 years. FIM World Championship events are run with 12 riders. 8 riders are qualified by the World Ranking list, 2 will be selected by the national promoter and 2 by the National Motorcycle Federation of the hosting country.

Remi Bizouard (3rd in the world) with 135 points

Jose Miralles (1st in the world) with 124 points
