Solid win for Moya in Verona

In the day of 11th November at the stadium of in Verona, Italy a rider made an extraordinary victory. Sergio Alvares Moya from Spain made it clear that he is the champion of the fourth part of the Rolex FEI World Cup™ Jumping 2012/2013 Western European League. The competition was special for two reasons. One is that the horse of Moya is only eight years old and the other is that the vice-champion Luca Moneta was so proud of the Spaniard and yet took the place after him. The culmination of the competition was when it was time for the jump-off with 12 horses. The spectators were so into it like watching a scene in the theater that they literally grabbed their seats. Malin Baryard-Johnsson from Sweden finished third and in his excitement he said: “the sport was amazing, I haven’t competed in a class as exciting as this in a very, very long time!”. The win of Moya is a good background result for the rest of the series and especially for the next one which is the Rolex FEI World Cup™ Jumping Final in Gothenburg, Sweden next April. He is already in the board of the leaders and with this win has made sure that he is well qualified with solid 58 points.
