Results from Carling Cup


Some very dramatic results were seen during the last Carling Cup round. The fourth stage of the tournament offered the fans some graet games with lots of goals and outstanding results. Here are the results:


Aston Villa 2- 1 Burnley F.C.


All the goals were scored after the 90th minute. First the forward of Aston Villa Heskey gave the lead to his team but at the end of the match(89th minute) Carlistle scored for 1 - 1. Extra time was needed and there in the 96th minute Downing scored for 2 - 1 but at the end Albrighton made a hard tackle and was booked with red card.


Newcaslte United 0 - 4 Arsenal


This match was won by Arsenal with a victorius result of 4-0 but the fans would agree that all the goals were actually misunderstandings of the Newcastle defence. The first goal was an owngoal by Krul at the very end of the first half. The next 3 goals were scored in the 53rd, 83rd and 88th minute by Walcott, Bendthner and again Walcott.


Manchester United 3 - 2 Wolverhampton


This one was one of the most dramatic matches for Man Utd in this season so far. All the goals were scored in the second half. The first one was scored by the Man Utd player Bebe in the 56th minute than John Elokobi from Wolverhampton scored for 1-1. Manchester United gained the lead again but eventually lost it with goals of Park(70th minute) for the hosts and Foley(76th minute) for the guests. At the very end of the match Manchester United player Chicharito(Hernandes) scored and gave the win to the red devils.
