English football clubs

This image represents all of the soccer clubs from the United Kingdom. The modern soccer was first codified in 1863 in London. In fact it comes back to the Medieval times and the evidence for this is written in 1170 from William Fitzstephen. The terms for the sport come from the 16th century. The Football Association was formed during 1867. The first professional league in the world was established in 1888 by the manager of Aston Villa. In a research made in 2006 there was found out that there are about 40 000 clubs in The Football Association. Brazil is behind them with about 29 000 clubs. It can't be argued that England is the country with the most soccer clubs in the world.

The Premier league was formed in 1992. In this league play the best soccer teams. In it play 20 the best 20 teams from the country. The Premier League also took the place of the Football league which is the oldest one. Now it is the second one and it consists of 72 clubs. There are 3 divisions - the Championship, League One and League Two. Each one consists of 24 soccer clubs.

The Premier league consists of the best and most popular clubs. Now Manchester United and Chelsea are competing for the first place. Arsenal and Liverpool. Right now the first 8 clubs playing in the Premier league have the following points
