On this same day, 7th of November, 28 years ago, one of the most unexpected things in football happened. The legendary team of Ajax(Amsterdam) was busted by CSKA(Sofia), after a decade of complete dominance in football Europe, and three subsequent UEFA trophies. The game took place on the "Vasil Levski" Natinal Stadium, in front of the spectacular 70 000 spectators, to become one of the golden moments of Bulgarian sport history.
In the first match Ajax have won with 1:0 and it seemed like it was going to be easy for them to win.The game began with a slight advance for the Bulgarian team, and up to the 60th minute it looked like the team from the Netherlands will hold the tie, but then Marshaliev deflected the ball in the net, after a brilliant break by Denev. The result stayed the same till the end of the game, and in the additinal time everybody was preparing for the penalties, when Mihaylov scored, after a spectacular shot from the border of the penalty area. Thus, "the giant" from Amsterdam was taken down by the modest team from Sofia, which was now turning into a killer of big European champions.

The leader of Chelsea Frank Lampard once again proved his importance for the blue team from London, scoring the only goal for his team during the visit of Blackburn Rovers, which brought success to the guests with the minimal 0:1. Lampard scored a masterly with head out of a difficult situation, having received the ball from Branislav Ivanovic minutes into the second half of the game.

Striker Fernando Torres guests, who appeared on the pitch as a substitute after the break, again made an incredible miss. In 93rd -minute El Nino had a chance to seal the victory for the guests when he was only two meters away from the goal, thanks to the good combination of his teammates, but sent his shot far over the top bar.

Milan searching for a new forward

Milan's vicepresident Adriano Galliani announced that it is very possible that the club will buy a new striker during the winter break. Antonio Cassano suffered an operation to fix a heart disease so he'll be out of play for 5 or 6 months. Yesterday Catania's forward Maxi Lopez said that he is ready to go to a bigger club like Milan. Galliani commented: "I heard what Maxi said. We'll see. There are different opportunities. We will loan s striker till the end of the season and then we'll decide whether to buy him or not. We are waiting for Cassano to return to the first squad. I believe that Maxi Lopez is good enough to play for Milan, but I also believe the same thing for all strikers from Real Madrid and Barcelona. There are a lot of excellent forwards in Europe." He also rejected a possibility that Alessandro Del Piero will join his club.

After the bad start Milan is one point behind the leaders of the championship Lazio and Udinese.

DEATH OF EQUINE SUPERSTAR HICKSTEAD

The Rolex FEI World Cup™ Jumping 2011/2012 series at Verona, Italy was stopped yesterday Nov. 6th 2011 because of the unexpeted death of the stallion Hickstead. His ridier was the canadian olympic champion Eric Lamaze. Hickstead collapses in the middle of a comination of fences after jumping the thirteenth one. Everything was normal until the stallion suddenly fell down and died. The competition was stopped because the riders wanted to pay their respects to this great horse and support Eric in this hard time for him. There was a minute silence. "Hickstead really was a horse in a million and my heart goes out to Eric and everyone connected with this wonderful horse. This is a terrible loss, but Hickstead truly will never be forgotten. We were very lucky to have known him." says the FEI President also shocked from the bad news.
“Shortly after finishing his round of jumping Hickstead collapsed in the arena and died. As yet the cause of death is unknown, but our deepest sympathies go out to the owners, to Eric and to all the connections of one of the greatest Jumping horses of all time. Hickstead’s presence on the circuit will be very sadly missed” also adds the FEI Jumping Director, John Roche. It was unexpected for all of them to lose the great stallions. They will always remember the greater success of the horse and the canadian rider when they won the Olympic Games of 2008.

Hannover 96 - Shalke 04

In the derby of the Bundesligathis weekend Hannover 96 will be host on AWD-Arena against Shalke 04. So far Hannover are on the 7th place with 18 points, while Shalke are 2nd after Bayern Munich with 21 points. Hannover 96 is playing good so far this season and an evidence for this is their victory against Bayern 2 weeks ago. Throughout the season Hannover are beating everyone on AWD-Arena having 4 victories and 2 X-s. Legends such as Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Werder Bremen lost their matches as guests here.
Shalke are right now second only 4 points behind Bayern Munich and just one point before Borussia Dortmund, Werder Bremen and Borussia Mönchengladbach. So far this season their successes are not consistant.

Both teams will have matches today for the Europa League and they will probably show the current situation of the players for the German derby. I personally believe that the game will end X.

Grigor Dimitrov failed to advance at the Stockholm Open

Bulgaria's best tennis player - Grigor Dimitrov, was defeated by the twenty-year-old Canadian - Milos Raonic. At the first set of the game the Bulgarian played pretty well, but his set game was too poor. Until the rest of the game he could not recover. The young Canadian player bet with 5-7, 4-6 in the quarterfinal of the Stockholm Open.

Raonic stated how happy he is of his win, and he is sure that he did his best in taking care of everything."The job is to take care of serve and look for opportunities -- and I couldn't have taken care of serve any better," he added in advance.

This game showed Dimitrov's inability to become the first Bulgarian male player to reach 250 semifinal in the Association of Tennis Professionals.

On Saturday Milos Raonic, who is the 29th ranked Canadian, will play with Gael Monfils in the semifinal of the Stockholm Open.
